On Thursday July 21st I was invited with a bunch of girls to a Surf & Escape day by Billabong Women’s Europe. The purpose of this day was to meet other bloggers and Instagramers passionate by surfing and a natural and boho lifestyle and have a good time together through different activities while discovering the new Billabong Fall 16 collection. On the program, surf session in the morning with the theme Salty Surf Day and escape in the forest in the afternoon with the theme Escape To.
A Salty Surf Day
The day started with a welcoming breakfast at the beach of Les Bourdaines in Seignosse, we all introduced ourselves to each other had a fresh juice and a delicious vegan cereal bar for breakfast made by The Nourishing Box.
Then it was time to go surfing ! Billabong offered to everyone of us a new wetsuit from the Fall 16 collection for the session, it was so fun to see all the girls dressed the same and going out in the ocean. Beginners had a surf lesson with the nice Sarah from the Billabong Surf School of Les Bourdaines and some of us went surfing directly. It was really nice to meet for a girly session, we had pretty little waves and there were very good vibes in the water! With Stephanie from Goldie Blondie we cheated a little and met earlier in the morning for a little surf before the event, so it was a busy morning with to girly sessions in a row.
After the surf session back to the surf school for a lunch on the beach, our hair and skin salted. For the menu we had a salad, a fresh juice and a chia pudding for desert, all made by The Nourishing box, healthy and delicious ! Then we left the beach and headed to the forest for the second part of this amazing day !
Escape To
We spent the afternoon at Lo Rey du Lac in Seignosse, at the feet of a lovely little treehouse, perched in the middle of the trees. The decor and set up of this place was just dreamy and magical. We all sat outside around a boho picnic table in the middle of ethnic carpets and cushions, lace suspensions and ribbons. After a healthy snack we all got spoiled by Billabong with a bag of presents including a beautiful ethnic poncho from the Fall 16 collection, a macramé pouch, Lani body cream and a booklet showing the new Billabong collection (absolutely beautiful by the way).
Then we split up in groups and went to the different workshops : a macramé workshop with Julie Eye See where we made a decorative suspension in rope, a floral workshop with Lady Brindille where we made a flower crown to put on a Billabong straw hat, and to finish a short presentation of the new Billabong collection by Billabong designer and stylist Isabelle inside the tree house. A busy afternoon that went way to fast between activities, laughing with the girls and improvised photoshoot.
Conclusion of this day ; cool girls, many laugh and discovering, awesome gifts and a lot of good memories made. A big thank you to the Billabong team and their partners who really spoiled us and treated us like princesses :
